John Downer, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Miami University.

Dr. Downer completed his post-doctoral residency in ocular disease at Indiana University. Dr. Downer founded Comprehensive Eye Care in Beavercreek in 2003 and is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and he has participated in Special Olympics Sports Vision screenings.

Dr. Downer has completed mission trips in Honduras and Belize. In his free time, he enjoys spending with his wife, Mary Jo, and their three children, Claire, Catherine, and Luke.

Dr. Downer sees patients in Beavercreek, Springfield, and Centerville.

Molly J. O’Neill, OD, MS, FAAO, received her Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Completing a two-year Advanced Practice Fellowship in Cornea and Contact Lenses, where she was a clinical instructor, Dr. O’Neil gained experience fitting many types of conventional and specialty contact lenses and earned a Master of Science degree in Vision Science. She joined the Comprehensive Eye Care team in 2016.

Dr. O’Neill is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the Ohio Optometric Association. She has participated in vision screenings for athletes at the Ohio Special Olympics.

Dr. O’Neill is happy to be back serving the community where she grew up. When not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their son.
