
Mark Bashore, O.D.
Meet Dr. Mark Bashore (Centerville, OH)
Mark Bashore, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1988. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
After graduation, Dr. Bashore served as a Captain in the United States Air Force, where he was the head of the V.I.P. Clinic at Andrews Air Force Base, providing eye care to high-ranking military and government personnel. He later became Optometry Clinic Chief during the Gulf War and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
In 1991, Dr. Bashore opened a private practice in Madison, Ohio, where he cared for patients for 34 years before returning to his hometown to continue his career with VisionMakers.
Dr. Bashore enjoys helping patients find the best vision solutions for their needs, whether through glasses, contact lenses, or LASIK consultation. He especially loves seeing kids experience clear vision for the first time.
Outside the office, he enjoys sports, cooking, biking, and spending time with family. He’s also a proud lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
